Slowing Down and Being Mindful
When I was working, I got into the habit of rushing through everything because it seemed there wasn’t enough time to get everything done. Things I wanted to do were put on the back-burner and things I had to do I rushed through. Everything I did was not a job well-done, but a quicky and it was showing, in my home and my life. I was frazzled and when I saw the half-a** jobs, it frazzled me even more.
I am still very busy but I have realized that when I do slow down and first intend to do a good job, planning out the steps beforehand and how I will enjoy the task and the completed project, the project always turns out awesome and I enjoy what I am doing. It also usually leads to another project and pretty soon I have all these great things I did that I can see that help me stay in a state of joy which always brings me some new physical or emotional manifestation.
I have been doing this even with something as un-fun as paying the bills. The first time I did it when paying the bills, I intended for it to be an enjoyable process… feeling good that I had the money to pay the bills, being grateful to the creditors for giving me a service, using my best handwriting in pretty colored pens… everything I could think of to make it an enjoyable process. As I was paying the bills in this way, I got inspiration to simplify the process by having the bills charged to my credit card then making one payment each month to the card rather than having to pay a few bills. I know if I was rushing through I would not have gotten that inspiration. That simple inspiration that I acted on lead to not only simplification but also lead to, unknown at the time, reward points that I later cashed in for a gift card! This is my point. When you are being mindful, inspirations come to you that benefit you in many ways, even in paying the bills!

Follow Your Urges and Your Joy
Our urges, promptings, nudges, inspirations, whatever you want to call them are the next step on our path. Always follow up and take action on them. Even if it’s something as seemingly insignificant as going out to get a burger for yourself. There is something important in the experience. It may be that you are going to meet someone new and important. It may be that you just needed a break and a break to get a burger will lead you to your next step. Doing what brings you joy keeps you open to opportunities and following your joy will lead you down the path to what it is you are wanting. Do whatever it is that makes you happy as much as possible and you will be heading in the right direction.

When Things Fall Apart
When things fall apart, often we can go into a downward spiral. We can begin to feel things aren’t working out for us, or worse, never will. If we begin to think like this, we will attract more negative thoughts on the same wavelength and continue on and on until things snowball and there’s a really big mess to deal with. But the good thing is, we have a choice as to what to think about any situation and if we can get ourselves to feeling better, the problem will get better.
When something bad has happened, it can be very difficult to think that it could be happening to actually help us or be good for us in some way, and it is near impossible to go from feeling horrible about something to feeling hopeful about the same thing immediately… don’t even try that… it probably won’t work. As Abraham says… “reach for a better-feeling thought”. Anything that feels a little better than where you are currently at. It has to be believable by you, or it won’t help you feel better. An example… “I’ve just lost my job; I won’t have enough money to pay my bills; I’ll be homeless in a couple months” can be changed to “I’ve just lost my job; it was a layoff so I can get unemployment for a while and I can use the time to find a job I like better or go for my dream of being self-employed. Maybe I can watch the neighbor’s kids for some spare money.” Just anything that feels better than what you are currently thinking that is making you feel horrible.
Once you get to a place of feeling a little better, keep working it and reaching for better feeling thoughts. Once you get into a good space and are feeling positive (which can take time… be patient), you will be in a more allowing space of divine inspiration, opportunities or ideas of your own. When you are in a bad place, these things cannot come to you because you are closed down with the bad thoughts; that is why things spiral… we attract what we feel. When you feel good, you are open and allowing good things and solutions to happen.
I have experienced this time and time again. Something ‘bad’ will happen and I will go down with my thoughts but I know that getting into a better-feeling place will lead to solutions… it always does and the more I practice it, the less severe the bad things are when they happen and it takes much less time to get to a better place where the solutions are. Always in hindsight I can see that the ‘bad’ event was necessary for my growth and leads me to something I was wanting.

Back Again with Yet Another Manifestation Story! :-)
My last blog post told of how I manifested some control over my schedule and how happy I was. It wasn’t but 2 months later (the end of the year 2012) that it appeared things started to fall apart, but really it was another manifestation of getting even more control over my schedule.
I felt fairly content and happy with my part-time work schedule but was not happy about working Saturdays at a very slow retail store but I was dealing with it because I felt I needed the job security. Then on January 1st, our boss had a meeting and told us all, among other disappointing things, that all employee’s pay would be cut by 10%. For me that meant that my hourly wage would now be less than when I started a year and a half ago. There was other news that sounded as if the company was going under but what really hit me was the lack of respect he showed all of us 9 employees. He was quite rude and pointed out a select few’s flaws in front of everyone else. I was infuriated, but went about doing my job because I was afraid to go without my job security even though I was running an eBay business on the side that I felt could give me enough income to live from, but wasn’t sure.
Over the coming days, the boss got quite condescending towards me. Most other employees did not work with him on a daily basis, but I did. I took it the first 2 times, but in the background, my mind was working towards taking a leap of faith to make it solely on my eBay business. The 3rd time he spoke down to me I knew what had to be done… I gave a 2 week notice. Yes, I was scared I wouldn’t be able to survive solely on that income, but I so wanted to take the leap and really work the law of attraction to see what more I could attract into my life. I knew that I was done with the job thing.
In hindsight, I can see that I attracted this entire situation. I had been self-employed prior to the job for almost 20 years, but I took the job because what I was doing wasn’t working anymore. Amazingly, the job was like training to be self-employed… the company sold tools on eBay and was very successful at that part of it (it was their retail stores that were going under). I was their shipping clerk for the tools sold on eBay. Before I got the job I was desperately searching for something that would sell well online but didn’t find it. The job gave me the answer. No I’m not selling tools, but as I worked there, I asked myself what would sell as well as tools… the answer ‘makeup’ came and so I started selling it part time as I worked. Anyway, I could go more in detail, but there is so many manifestations in this story to get me to where I wanted to be, and here I am now, self-employed full time successfully. I got to where I wanted to be, but where I want to be is always evolving… that’s the way it is for all of us.
Which leads me to why I am here writing now. I have a thirst for spiritual knowledge and love what I am learning and see how it is changing my life. I’ve been on a spiritual path for about 14 years. I started studying and applying the law of attraction about 2 years ago and my life has changed in amazing ways. I am in such a better place now. I used to be happy only some of the time because I was going through some rough things and the way that I thought about them brought me down. The principles of the law of attraction have brought me out of that and I can say that I am living joyfully most of the time now. I want to pass on what I learn and I know that part of my ‘evolving’ is leading into doing something in this area. I don’t know exactly what yet, but this is the first step. I was inspired to write this and I know inspired actions lead to great things. I am also inspired to write more on this blog, so stay tuned. :-)

I Am Back with a Manifestation Story!
It’s been a few months since I’ve posted. I was reading my blog and found one of the last posts to be about the self-employment business idea inspiration. This is why I haven’t posted. The inspiration has been a big success and I now realize that it was a manifestation!
My blog post was saying that I wanted to be self-employed because of some problems I was having in the workplace. What I didn’t mention in the post was that I also want control over my schedule. As many of us will agree, I do not like giving up 8 hours every day to a job. I’d rather be following my interests on a daily basis and allowing the universe to support me. Well I am now partially self-employed and working toward full-time self-employment.
Over the past few months since I’ve posted I have been basically working 2 jobs (my job and self-employment) and have had little time for anything else. I’ve been very imbalanced but knew the adversity was helping me get detailed about what it is that I want, and it is now in the process of manifesting.
At first I tried to talk my boss into giving me Saturdays off but he didn’t go for it. I was a little put off about that for a while but then decided to go with the flow and get into a better-feeling place about it. I just kept telling myself that the hectic schedule was only temporary until the universe yielded what I wanted and that would happen as soon as I allowed it to. I didn’t try to come up with a solution… just went with the flow.
One day I was inspired to do my work as fast and efficient as possible just so I could get off work early and have a little time to get other things done. I am a shipping clerk and ended up getting about 60 more orders done than what I usually did. The next day I did the same thing and decided to do it from there on out. I liked the fast pace since at my normal pace I would become groggy after a couple hours doing it. I was also thinking that at least I could get off work early and have time to do other things I needed to do. So I kept at it and now about a month later, I am getting 3 days off per week! I now have time to devote to my self-employment and to create balance in my life! What a relief and it came because I did not resist and allowed it to come. The inspiration came because I was in a state of allowance. I LOVE the law of attraction!
So here I am now, doing what I love… writing. I have had 2 wonderful days off in a row (before I had Sundays and Wednesdays off). I have rested, did yoga, did my self-employment, cooked a delicious meal, went out and had a good time, cleaned and organized and feel like I am back to who I am. You will probably be seeing more posts from me now since I have the time!

The Path of Least Resistance
Sometimes we want things to go a certain way, then when they don’t go that way, we feel let down or disappointed. When we feel let down or disappointed we are slowing the process of manifestation of our dreams.
So how do we feel better when it feels like a situation isn’t going the way we want? We can take the path of least resistance knowing that this is the path that will get us to our dreams/manifestations quickest.
The situation that isn’t going the way we want is happening for a reason; there’s something better waiting for us. It may be as simple as there being a better time for it. It may be that we need time to think things through. It may be that what we had our eyes set on isn’t right for us in some way.
So, if something isn’t happening, rather than getting upset, take a step back knowing it is God/The Universe looking out for you and something good will come of it and the quicker you feel at ease about it, the quicker your manifestation will happen. Enjoy the unfolding of it. That is the path of least resistance.
This is a revelation I had this morning after struggling with something that I thought I wanted over the past few months. I knew the entire time that I needed to take the path of least resistance but I was trying to force myself to take a different interest and that was creating the resistance. I want what I want and I now accept that. The change is that now I realize that what I want is either coming at a better time or in a different form. I see things that are possibly not right in the way that I was wanting it to go. It may all be worked through and it will come as I had hoped or it may be that the way I wanted it to go is vibrating away from me because something about it isn’t right for me. I now trust this and feel a weight has been lifted. I now look forward to how it all will unfold and trust it will be perfect. I look back at the wonderful things I have manifested… my job and car being the biggest and remember that they came when I let go and trusted after a period of struggle when I thought it would never happen.

Your Thoughts Matter
If there is something really bothering you and bringing you down, take a look at your thoughts about it. Are your thoughts rational? Do you know all the facts or are you assuming things? Are you predicting a dreadful future about it? Is there a way to think about it that feels better? If you can find a way to think about it that feels better, you will attract better results in the situation and in all other areas of life.

Oracle Card Reading: Restriction
Tonight I pulled the ‘Restriction’ card from the Ask Your Guides oracle card deck by Sonia Choquette.
The guidance I hear when focusing on this card:
- Stop restricting yourself
- Consider many possibilities, rather than settling for just one
- Be free and flow
- There is joy in freedom and stagnation or boredom in restriction
- Let life be a mystery and move with it; say yes more and consider more options
- Life is about evolving and growth, not restriction!
- Be open to everything
- Your guides and angels are urging you to break away from the prison in your mind; if inspiration hits you, it is them urging you to try new things… follow the inspiration and joy will come.

Let Go and Trust
When we are disappointed or discouraged, it is likely that we are attached to an outcome. If we can let go of the outcome and trust that God/The Universe knows best and will give us what we need, we will feel better. If what we are attached to isn’t happening, it is likely it is wrong for us in some way and God/The Universe has better plans.
